Largest Ferret Rescue in United States History!!

On Sunday, September 16, 2007 the largest ferret rescue in the United States occurred when 750+ ferrets were surrendered to a Ferret Shelter in Ohio. IMAGINE ... OVER 750!!

ALL of these are breeder ferrets of all ages. ALL of them are going to need to be seen by a Veterinarian, need to be spayed or neutered, all of them are going to need vaccinations and ADV testing done. Most importantly, they are going to need qualified homes.

Ferret Shelters and Individuals across the US came together to help in any way that they could and took in all these little guys. Donations in the form of hands on help, supplies, Veterinarians and YES, even money are desperately NEEDED! Can YOU find it in your hearts to help in some small way? Let’s give them a second chance at a good life!! I am sure that a shelter in your area has some of these guys and gals ... check out the official site (below) and see where help is still needed at this time!

Donna Spirito, our director has already been out there and seen first hand the conditions and the NEED for help! She also brought back 17 ferrets, some are in foster care.

UPDATE: On 11/27/07 Sixty five (65) of the Ohio Rescue Ferrets have been RE-SURRENDERED back to the Ferret Dreams Shelter!

UPDATE: The 65 RE-SURRENDERED  ferrets are now either in forever homes or in other shelters.
